Connecting with Your Audience: 2. Practical Matters

Initial Contact

If you are planning to deliver the Dangerous Decibels Program in your own classroom or community group, then the logistics of planning the program delivery are simpler. However, if you are approaching a group or organization within your community to explore the opportunity to deliver the program, then these tips may be helpful to you:

  • Visit the venue or organization in-person. This will allow you to make a personal connection and office staff can connect you with the right leader or decision-maker to discuss the possibility of delivering the Dangerous Decibels Program. Your personal enthusiasm for the Dangerous Decibels Program will help gain you entry into the organization.
  • Mention any of your personal affiliations, diplomas or degrees and especially the Dangerous Decibels Training certificate that you will hold after completion of this on-line training program.
  • Share photos that show the youth enjoying the Dangerous Decibels Program and/or educators delivering the program.
