Many schools have security provisions in place. The Dangerous Decibels Educator should discuss any security policies and provisions that they should be aware of in advance. Background checks are often required by school districts and or organizations. The school or host organization can advise the Dangerous Decibels Educator how to apply for the background check and where to send approvals. The background check may or may not be paid for by the host school or organization, in which case the Dangerous Decibels Educator may have to provide the funding or seek local sponsorship.
